Cece and Schmidt's wedding was anticipated by viewers as soon as Schmidt proposed. Even though the original ceremony didn't go as planned, the small wedding at the loft was still so beautiful for fans. And "Still" by Seinabo Sey playing as Cece walks down the aisle made it that much more beautiful.
Seinabo Sey's vocals are sweet and comforting in the background of Cece and Schmidt exchanging vows,which included some of the most romantic quotes in the series. It doesn't overpower the scene and makes it even sweeter and heartwarming to viewers.
"Cotton-Eye Joe" - Rednex
Nick has so many quirks throughout the series, but one that came out of the left-field is his love for the song, "Cotton-Eye Joe." At Cece's wedding to Shivrang, Schmidt tries to stop the wedding multiple times and the first obstacle he comes up with is playing this song over the speakers during the ceremony.

It ropes Nick into the plan to ruin the wedding since he is the one who loves the song so much. It is such a strange song to include on the show but Nick uncontrollably fist-pumping to it makes it even funnier. It is definitely a song that fans remember from the show and always think of Nick when they hear it.
"A Groovy Kind of Love" - Phil Collins
Jesspretends to be Nick's date to a wedding to make his ex, Caroline, jealous. Before they even leave to get to the wedding, the guys all try to make her seem more "normal" than she is. They keep her from dancing, from blowing the little bubble wedding favors, and overall from being herself.
However, after all of the drama throughout the episode, they embrace Jess' quirkiness and do the chicken dance with her to this song. This song makes the scene so much funnier. To be on beat with Phil Collins, the gang has to do the chicken dance in slow motion. They obviously can't take themselves seriously and it is one of the best scenes that highlight everyone's love for Jess.
"You Shook Me All Night Long" - AC/DC
The rest of the loft is shocked when Nick says he is going to be moving in with Caroline after she broke his heart. Thankfully, he decides against it, and as a way of announcing his return, Nick plays "You Shook Me All Night Long,"blaring in the loft in the middle of the night.

"Time Of My Life" will always be a song that gets people singing along and it makes the scene even better since all of them are singing it in public.
It is funny that this song makes Jess feel better and it is the first timeviewers see the whole gang bonding and being brought together. The song and scene really set the tone for the show -- a show that is silly and fun, but also heartwarming with unexpected moments.

When Jess isfeeling downon her luck on Christmas, Nick, in one of his most mature moments, misses his flight to bring her to Candy Cane Lane to see all of the lights.When they get there and all the lights are off, Nick starts yelling at thehouses to please turn the lights on for Jess. It is such a sweet moment that proves how much Jess' friends care about her. Zooey Deschanel being the one singing in the background makes it even more special. "How Bizarre" - OMC
The first season finale features multiple memorable songs, but "How Bizarre" is one of the best. When Nick brings his UHaul to move in with Caroline to the desert and throws his keys away, the gang gets stuck there with him until a tow truck can come. They start going through his things and find his old college mixtape.
Nick deems himself "cool" for including this track on the mixtape and the entire gang starts dancing along to the song, leading to one of the sweetestmoments in the series. They all are able to just forget their problemsfor a moment and itultimately leads to one of Nick's best decisions to not move in with Caroline later in the episode.
"Send Me On My Way" - Rusted Root
Jess and Nick find themselves in an unexpected position when their landlord assumes they want to have a threesome after inviting him over for dinner. The already uncomfortable situation gets even more uncomfortable as the song the landlord puts on for them to get into the mood is "Send Me On My Way" by Rusted Root.
The song's lyrics are pretty unintelligible and the beat is so upbeat and happy that it would never put anyone into the mood. It is hilarious as the song's incessant upbeat tempo stays in the background as Jess and Nick decide if they are going to let their pride really get them into a threesome with their landlord.
"Green Light" - Lorde
The sixth season of New Girl was unique to the series since Jess wasn't on screen often due to jury duty - in reality, it was due to Zoey Deschanel's pregnancy. Fans missed the tension and love story between Nick and Jess this season, but it was all worth it for the final scene of the season featuring "Green Light."
It is one of the most memorable songs heard in the show, especially to those who love Nick and Jess. The song sounds so hopeful and it really heightens the scene where Nick and Jess literally keep missing each other in their apartment building.
